Magnetic Compass Repairs and Testing to ISO / IMO Standards
We carry Manufacturers’ supplied spare parts and fluids for all Compasses and Binnacles and carry out Compass repairs and servicing followed by testing by Magnetometer to ISO requirement and issuance of necessary documentation.
We also carry out testing of Compasses by Magnetometer to conform with SOLAS Ch. I Reg. 8 (a) (ii) and (b) (ii) (i.e. “a renewal survey at intervals specified by the Administration but not exceeding 5 years”).
Our Company is an IACS Classification Society Approved Service Supplier for the above undertaking.
In cases where a vessel’s port time is insufficient to complete any necessary repairs we provide an identical unit from our stock for the round voyage and replace the original unit upon the vessel’s subsequent call at Hong Kong or nearby port.
